The Artist

Very excited to see my work in the new edition of The Artist!! Woo Hoo!!

‘Glance’ was chosen by the magazine to illustrate the lovely article written by Glynis Mills about The Society of Equestrian Artists Fortieth year. The Society was started in 1979 and I am very proud to be a Full Member.

Pleased to say that this painting was sold by Sally Mitchell Fine Arts Ltd, who are hosting the 40th Horse in Art for the Society at the Museum of The Horse in September.

Waunifor End of Summer Exhibition

I have been a bit quiet on here recently, so busy with processing the Horse in Art exhibition entries and painting work for that and also for the Waunifor End of Summer Exhibition. 18 -27 August 10am – 5pm daily

Always look forward to this one. In my opinion it is one of the best exhibitions locally this summer. Please come along and enjoy the diverse range of art on display.

‘Art at Waunifor is a high standard annual exhibition of local professional artists based in West Wales. This is our eleventh year of exhibiting in the Cedar Hall, a lovely, big and airy building at Waunifor, surrounded by beautiful woodland gardens. There is a café during the show, a children’s play area and free parking. Entry to the exhibition is also free.’

Dinarth What Ho and Dr Wynne Davies MBE

I was thrilled and immensely proud to be commissioned to paint a portrait of Dr Wynne Davies by the Welsh Pony and Cob Society.
This painting, of Dr Wynne with the Section A stallion Dinarth What Ho was unveiled at the Royal Welsh Show in July.

Dr Wynne Davies MBE is one of the leading figures in the Welsh Pony and Cob world and has been for over 60 years.  He is a staunch member of the Welsh Pony and Cob Society. Dr Wynne is also a renowned breeder of Section A ponies under the prefix Ceulan. He has been involved in the running of the society for the past 69 years, and given the annual Publicity Report, as the Society Publicity Officer, for the past 39. He has attended and reported on the Royal Welsh Show, and on numerous shows and events across the United Kingdom and the world, for Horse and HOund and other magazines and is known and valued by all who breed and compete.

Dr Wynne’s retirement as Publicity Officer was announced at the WPCS AGM on the 1st of April,

Vice Chair of Council, Colin Thomas, said: “Dr Wynne’s knowledge of the Breed and background has been so impressive to us all. His retirement is a great loss to the Society. Wynne has graced the Welsh Pony and Cob Society as a Council member and Publicity Officer over many decades, which has been a sheer delight to the global membership.”
